The FDA's MAUDE database contains 4 adverse event reports that list this exact device (DI 00889024150171), received between May 5, 2022 and Sep 1, 2026 — classified as 4 malfunctions.

The most frequently reported specific device problem is “Positioning Failure” (3 reports).

4 other recalls cover devices cleared under the same FDA submission (K091508, K151448, K200823); they may or may not involve this specific model.

Reports come from manufacturers, hospitals and patients and are not verified by the FDA. A report does not prove the device caused the event, and counts can't be used to compare devices or estimate failure rates. • MalfunctionMay 5, 2022Positioning Failure; Positioning Failure

IT WAS REPORTED THAT AN ACETABULUM 52 WAS OPENED, AND AT THE TIME OF PLACING LINER 36, IT DID NOT FIX INSIDE THE ACETABULUM, SO A NEW LINER 32 WAS OPENED BECAUSE THE MEDICAL TEAM THOUGHT THAT LINER 36 WAS DEFECTIVE. WHEN THEY USED THE LINER 32, IT DIDN'T FIX IT IN THE ACETABULUM EITHER. THE DOCTOR TOOK OUT THE 52 ACETABULUM AND TESTED BOTH LINERS OUTSIDE THE PATIENT, AND NEITHER ONE OF THEM FIXED INSIDE THE ACETABULUM. THEY HAD TO OPEN THE 54 ACETABULUM AND THE 36 LINER TO FINISH THE SURGERY. NO ADVERSE EVENTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED AS A RESULT OF THE MALFUNCTION. ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE REPORTED EVENT IS UNAVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.
