Quick summary

This Smith & Nephew Genesis II tibial baseplate is the knee implant component used in total knee replacement. The 38 reports mostly describe the implant loosening or shifting after surgery, sometimes with infection or pain, plus a few boxes labeled one size or side but holding a different part. The reports list 37 injuries and no deaths, with none in the past 12 months. One recall, begun in June 2022 and since closed, was about parts being swapped so the inner tray did not match the outer box label.
