IT WAS REPORTED THAT, FOLLOWING A TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT (THR) ON (B)(6) 2008, THE PATIENT HAD BEEN EXPERIENCING LEFT HIP PAIN AND WAS SCHEDULED FOR REVISION SURGERY ON (B)(6) 2023, DUE TO A BROKEN TOTAL HIP ARTHROPLASTY WITH SEVERE METALLOSIS. INTRAOPERATIVELY, THE RF INTERFIT ACET NH SZ 50 WAS FOUND TO BE WORN, CAUSING THE OXINIUM FEMORAL HEAD TO ARTICULATE DIRECTLY WITH THE INNER SURFACE OF THE ACETABULAR CUP. EXTENSIVE REMOVAL OF METALLOSIS WAS PERFORMED ON THE HIP, AND BOTH THE FEMORAL HEAD AND ACETABULAR SYSTEM WERE REPLACED WITH A MULTI-HOLE REVISION SYSTEM. THE PATIENT TOLERATED THE PROCEDURE WELL AND LEFT THE OPERATING ROOM FOR RECOVERY.
