  IT WAS REPORTED THAT A PATIENT UNDERWENT AN UNKNOWN PROCEDURE ON AN UNKNOWN DATE AND SUTURE WAS USED. DURING AN UNKNOWN SURGERY, AFTER OPEN THE PACKAGE, IT WAS FOUND THAT THERE WAS A SMALL FOREIGN MATTER INSIDE OF THE PACKAGE. IT WAS NOT A CONTROL RELEASE NEEDLE. THE PRODUCT WAS NOT USED FOR THE PATIENT. ANOTHER UNOPENED PRODUCT WAS USED TO COMPLETE THE CASE. THERE WERE NO ADVERSE CONSEQUENCES TO THE PATIENT. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WAS REQUESTED.
