• MalfunctionFeb 12, 2025Material Separation; Material Separation

  IT WAS REPORTED THAT A PATIENT UNDERWENT AN UNKNOWN PROCEDURE IN 2025 AND SUTURE WAS USED. DURING THE PROCEDURE, THE NEEDLE DETACHED FROM THE THREAD DURING SUTURING. THE OPERATION WAS CONTINUED AND COMPLETED AS PLANNED USING SUTURES FROM A DIFFERENT BATCH. THERE WAS NO PATIENT HARM OR SURGICAL DELAY REPORTED. THE REMAINING 13 UNOPENED FOILS OF THE RELEVANT BOX ARE SENT BACK FOR INVESTIGATION. HOWEVER, ALL USED SUTURES HAVE BEEN DISCARDED AT THE CUSTOMER. THERE WERE NO ADVERSE CONSEQUENCES REPORTED. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WAS REQUESTED.
