The FDA's MAUDE database contains 1 adverse event report that list this exact device (DI 10884521033481), received between Jul 11, 2019 and Jul 11, 2019 — classified as 1 injury.

The most frequently reported specific device problem is “Break” (1 report).

28 other recalls cover devices cleared under the same FDA submission (K000037); they may or may not involve this specific model.

Reports come from manufacturers, hospitals and patients and are not verified by the FDA. A report does not prove the device caused the event, and counts can't be used to compare devices or estimate failure rates. ACCORDING TO THE REPORTER, ON A LAPAROSCOPIC ROBOTIC PEDIATRIC UROLOGY, DURING ANASTOMOSIS USING THE CONTINUOUS SUTURING TECHNIQUE, THE THREAD OF THE SUTURE BROKE. THERE WERE 4 TO 5 SUTURES THAT BROKE WITH ALMOST NO CONTACT OR TENSION. IT WAS STATED THAT JUST GRABBING THE SUTURE CAUSES IT TO BREAK. ANOTHER SUTURE WAS USED TO CONTINUE THE CASE. AT THE END OF THE ANASTOMOSIS, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE FIRST STITCH HAD SPONTANEOUSLY TORN. THE SUTURE LINE WAS REDONE FROM SCRATCH. IT WAS STATED THAT THE SURGICAL TIME HAS BEEN EXTENDED FOR AN HOUR DUE TO THE ISSUE.
