  ACCORDING TO THE REPORTER, ON A LAPAROSCOPIC HERNIA PROCEDURE, DURING NORMAL SUTURING IN THE MUSCLES, THE NEEDLE BROKE. THE NEEDLE WAS RETRIEVED WITH THE NEEDLE HOLDER. SUCTION IRRIGATION WAS ALSO USED TO PREVENT HAVING MORE BROKEN PARTS INSIDE OF THE PATIENT. ANOTHER DEVICE WAS USED TO COMPLETE THE CASE. THERE WAS NO PATIENT INJURY.
