Quick summary
This is a BD Vacutainer C&S Preservative Urine Tube, a plastic tube that carries urine samples to the lab. The 36 reports mostly describe tubes that arrive underfilled or without enough preservative fluid, stoppers pulling out during transfer, wrong expiration dates on the packaging, and bacteria not surviving as long as the labeling claims. None of the reports describe deaths or injuries. One recall remains open, begun in May 2022, because some lots were stored at higher-than-expected temperatures before delivery, which may have reduced how well the product works.
