  • InjuryAug 11, 2025Migration; Migration

IT WAS REPORTED THAT THE PATIENT WITH AN INFLATABLE PENILE PROSTHESIS (IPP) EXPERIENCED PROTRUSION OF BOTH CYLINDERS THROUGH HIS CORPOROTOMIES. THE PATIENT BEGAN USING THE IMPLANT JUST A FEW WEEKS AFTER THE PROCEDURE. THE PHYSICIAN BELIEVES THAT THE PATIENT DID NOT ALLOW SUFFICIENT TIME FOR HEALING, AND THAT PREMATURE INFLATION CAUSED THE CORPOROTOMIES TO REOPEN. A SURGICAL PROCEDURE WAS PERFORMED TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE IPP. NO ADDITIONAL PATIENT COMPLICATIONS WERE REPORTED.
