Quick summary

This Zimmer cemented semi-constrained metal/polymer hip prosthesis is an artificial hip implant. The 27 reports mostly describe patients needing a second surgery — bone fractures around the implant after falls or infection, the stem loosening or sinking, and one fracture — with 27 injuries and no deaths. One open recall, started July 2024, concerns a higher risk of fracture around the femoral stem after surgery, with instructions for use being updated.
