Summary
The FDA's MAUDE database contains 11 adverse event reports that list this exact device (DI 00643169929258), received between Feb 6, 2019 and Aug 12, 2026 — classified as 9 injuries, 2 malfunctions.
The most frequently reported specific device problem is “Inappropriate/Inadequate Shock/Stimulation” (4 reports).
Reports come from manufacturers, hospitals and patients and are not verified by the FDA. A report does not prove the device caused the event, and counts can't be used to compare devices or estimate failure rates. What reports can and can't tell you · How this data works · Data updated Oct 18, 2026.

IT WAS REPORTED THAT THE PATIENT RECEIVED AN SHOCK FROM THEIR IMPLANTABLE CARDIOVERTER DEFIBRILLATOR (ICD) FOR AN EPISODE DETECTED IN THE VENTRICULAR FIBRILLATION (VF) ZONE. REVIEW OF THE EPISODE DATA SHOWED THAT MORE THAN THE PROGRAMMED HIGH-VOLTAGE ENERGY HAD BEEN DELIVERED. FOLLOWING THE HIGH-VOLTAGE THERAPY FOR VF, THERE WAS A SUBSEQUENT FALSE DROP IN PACING IMPEDANCE ON ALL PATHWAYS WHICH TRIGGERED ALERTS, AND A FALSE DECLINE IN BATTERY VOLTAGE. THE ICD WAS LATER EXPLANTED AND REPLACED. NO PATIENT COMPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN REPORTED AS A RESULT OF THIS EVENT.
