Quick summary
This Bard PowerPICC is a long-term central line catheter used for chemotherapy and other infusions. The 53 reports mostly describe the line cracking or leaking fluid and blood while in use, sometimes deforming or bending, which meant removing the line early and placing a new one. No deaths or injuries are reported. One open recall, started in March 2025, says the tubing exceeded a material specification, which can make it fatigue and leak. Reports in the past 12 months (8) were far fewer than the 22 in the prior12 months.
