Quick summary
This Angiomed Venovo venous stent is used to hold open a narrowed vein, including the iliac vein. The 36 reports mostly describe the stent failing to open or expand properly when doctors were placing it, sometimes staying stuck to the delivery catheter or moving out of position; a few mention the stent breaking or becoming detached. Two injuries were reported and no deaths. One open recall, started in December 2020, concerns reports that the stent's end did not immediately expand and stayed connected to the delivery system.
