MalfunctionSep 28, 2026Premature Discharge of Battery
It was reported that this cardiac resynchronization therapy pacemaker (CRT-P) recorded a Code 1003, indicating the voltage is too low for the projected remaining capacity. A request was made to have data from this device analyzed. Data analysis identified potential high impedance within the battery. Continued monitoring was recommended. This device remains in service. No adverse patient effects were reported.

MAUDE report 50884943 ↗MalfunctionSep 23, 2026Use of Device Problem; Interrogation Problem
It was reported that this cardiac resynchronization therapy pacemaker (CRT-P) exhibited a Remote Monitoring Disabled (RMD) alert. Engineering analysis determined that the alert was very likely a false positive radio frequency (RF) disablement caused by magnet application during a loaded battery voltage measurement rather than an actual battery-related condition. Review of prior device data demonstrated normal loaded battery voltage measurements. A software update was recommended to restore telemetry functionality. No adverse patient effects were reported. This CRT-P remains in service.
