  IT WAS REPORTED THAT A SNAKE LIVER RETRACTOR BROKE DURING A PROCEDURE. ALL PIECES FROM THE DEVICE WERE REMOVED BY THE SURGEON AND AN X-RAY WAS USED TO CONFIRM THAT NO PIECES WERE LEFT INSIDE THE PATIENT.
