IT WAS REPORTED THAT, DURING A PROCEDURE, THE DOCTOR DRILLED OVER THE GUIDE WIRE THAT COMES WITH THE CANNULATED Q-FIX ULTRA DRILL. THE DRILL WAS SLIGHTLY BENT DUE TO HARD BONE WHICH WASN'T EASILY SEEN VIA X-RAY AND IT WAS DAMAGED. THIS CAUSED WIDENING OF THE DRILLED HOLE, AND A LARGER ANCHOR BACK-UP DEVICE HAD TO BE USED IN THE TALUS TO COMPLETE THE PROCEDURE. THERE WAS A SURGICAL DELAY OF LESS THAN 30 MINUTES, AND NO FURTHER COMPLICATIONS WERE REPORTED.
