IT WAS REPORTED THAT DURING A KNEE PROCEDURE USING A TWINFIX ULTRABRAID ANCHOR, WHEN INSERTING THE ANCHOR AND ADVANCING IT, JUST AS IT WAS ABOUT TO BE FULLY SEATED, IT CRACKED AROUND THE INSERTER RIM, PARTWAY DOWN THE SHAFT OF THE ANCHOR. ALL THE PIECES WERE REMOVED WITH REATTACHED INSERTER AND SCREED OUT AND WITH FORCEPS. THE PROCEDURE WAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED WITH A NON-SIGNIFICANT SURGICAL DELAY USING A BACK-UP DEVICE IN THE ORIGINALLY DRILLED BONE HOLE. NO FURTHER COMPLICATIONS WERE REPORTED.
