Quick summary
This Karl Storz FLEX-XC1 video uretero-renoscope is a flexible or rigid scope used to look inside the urinary tract and kidneys. The 27 reports mostly describe the scope failing to produce a usable image — blank screens, flickering or blacked-out video, lines across the picture, or a pink-tinted image — and sometimes the tip bending mechanism breaking or jamming mid-procedure, forcing doctors to pull the scope out without a view and switch to another one. No deaths and no injuries were reported. No recalls name this device.
