Quick summary

This DePuy Global Unite shoulder implant is used to replace part of the shoulder joint. The 26 reports mostly describe infections requiring implant removal or revision, along with pain and reduced movement; 24 involved injuries and there were no deaths. One recall, started in December 2021, is closed because an undersized bore could make separating components difficult, potentially causing surgical delays or bone damage.
