Quick summary

This Boston Scientific Endotak Reliance SG 0283 is an implanted lead that delivers pacer and defibrillator shocks to the heart. Most of the 49 reports describe its electrical readings drifting out of range, such as rising shock and pacing impedance and higher capture thresholds, which can lead to early replacement; 23 reports describe injuries and 1 a death. One open recall, started in July 2025, concerns gradually rising impedance from calcification of the defibrillation coils.
